Ashmore Estates. A place full of legend, curiosity and fear. Vandals were once it’s only visitors. Now, it’s a paranormal playground. The biggest names in the paranormal community have been to Ashmore Estates and investigated it’s claims of activity. Now, you can too!

On August 31st, Ashmore Estates opens it’s doors for it’s first “Paranormal 101” event! Members of Illinois Metaphysical and Paranormal Society (I.M.P.S.) and Mid Illinois Ghost Society (M.I.G.S.) conducting training classes on paranormal investigating and doing guided investigations.

M.I.G.S, founded in 2006, is the home paranormal group of Ashmore Estates and was seen on the “Ghost Adventures” episode filmed there. M.I.G.S. works towards giving their clients answers for their experiences, whether paranormal or not. M.I.G.S. can be reached at midillinoisghostsociety.tripod.com.

I.M.P.S., founded in early 2011, strives to raise awareness and clear misconceptions about the paranormal and metaphysical fields. Strong community supporters, they participate in Relay for Life and other local fund raisers. They also host a Paranormal Meet-and-Greet in October. After the learning experience with our local groups, guests tour the building and do a little investigation of their own! Guests are encouraged to bring any equipment they have, including but not limited to voice recorders, flashlights, and EMF meters. The members of our local paranormal societies will be guiding the tours, answering questions and helping any way they can.

There are 3 time slots available: 6-10pm, 9:30pm-1:30am, and a special Witching Hour session 12:30am-4:30am. Times will fill up fast, so buy your tickets soon! This is your chance to get a behind the scenes look at Ashmore Estates, and a guided investigation by two of the area’s prominent Paranormal groups: Mid Illinois Ghost Society (M.I.G.S.) and Illinois Metaphysical and Paranormal Society (I.M.P.S.)
